Meet the Concurrents leadership team
Warren is a technology and business operations executive with 30 years of cutting-edge technology experience, over 20 of which have been in the interactive entertainment industry. His international experience is deep having lived and worked in Europe for 7 years and having done extensive business travel throughout Asia. He currently serves as the CEO of Concurrents.
Early in his career, Warren ran multiple successful global initiatives at Electronic Arts including the engineering of the launch of EA.com for the AOL games channel (10 million customers on day one) and several corporate restructuring programs for tax and operational efficiencies. Warren was an early proponent for the freemium model of gameplay and his last role at EA was to build a platform for serving several EA franchises’ first forays into casual gaming.
Warren was a co-founder and COO of PlayerScale which was a multi-player online, cross-device games platform-as-a-service that served 150 million monthly active users just prior to being sold to Yahoo. More recently, Warren was the SVP of Technology Product Development at DreamWorks Animation where he oversaw the creation and eventual spinout of several new businesses exploiting the animation pipeline technologies and intellectual property.
After leaving DreamWorks and prior to Concurrents, he co-founded two startups in the artificial intelligence / internet of things and edge computing spaces. One was focused on home automation using machine learning and behavioral pattern analysis to automatically create rules for device operations. The edge computing startup was a high-performance computing platform for intelligent traffic management initially focused on parking enforcement and monetization systems. But Warren’s affinity for the games industry, led him to Concurrents.
