Company
The infrastructure layer for interactive entertainment.
Concurrents builds the patented streaming substrate, the developer platform, and the distribution stack that let games and other interactive content reach players the way they were built to be experienced: instantly, interactively, and on the developer's terms.
01 — Why we exist
Send the world, not a picture of it.
- The problem
Tim Sweeney was right.
"The world is too big to download." Worlds keep getting bigger, and the pipes that deliver them were built for video.
- The insight
The world isn't pixels.
It is textured polygons in space, lit and seen from a viewpoint. Video sends pictures of the world: the wrong thing, at the wrong cost, with the wrong limits.
- The method
So we stream the world.
GPEG (Geometry Pump Engine Group) streams the subassets of a 3D world by predicted visibility, from commodity CPUs, into the engine on the player's device. It is published in IEEE Computer and protected by 13 issued patents.
